Blood & Roots is a rock band founded and written by Ignacio García. It merges bleeding human songwriting with modern studio tools. The mission is simple: to rescue the pure essence and heavy melodies of rock, bringing them back to resonate powerfully and unapologetically in today's world.
The story
My first cassette was Europe’s The Final Countdown. I played it over and over until the tape nearly wore out. Long before I understood the mechanics of music, the sheer force of those melodies hooked me. I grew up believing that a song could be a sanctuary, a loyal companion for the defining moments of your life. That kind of rock possessed something rare today: sweat, bleeding guitars, and a soul that drove everything from the first riff to the final chorus.
The world changed, and music shifted into fast-food consumption. We lost the ritual of experiencing an album’s full narrative from start to finish. Rock was pushed into the corner of pure nostalgia, but the roots never died.
Blood & Roots is my answer. These are new songs carved from shared scars and real experiences, built with one single purpose: to make you feel alive again, whatever meaning you choose to find in them.

What Blood & Roots stands for
The lyric is the beating heart of the track. I don't believe in empty noise. If there isn't a direct, visceral connection between the story being told and the person listening, the song doesn't leave the studio.
Telling a true story demands the right atmosphere. I refuse to be boxed into one single style. The production, the instruments, and the sonic landscape must shift and adapt to echo exactly what the lyrics are demanding.
Light or dark, victory or defeat—every song targets a raw human emotion. I don’t write background music; every chord and every word is designed to move you, to shake you, and to leave a mark.
